Welcome to Childcare Apprenticeship
This Apprenticeship is for people who work with children and their families in settings or services whose main purpose is children’s care. Workers in this area make sure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished.

As an apprentice, the exact nature of your job role will depend on your employer. The Level 2 Apprenticeship is for those working under supervision in and out of school setting.

After successful completion of this Apprenticeship there’s good scope for progression. You may move up through levels of work, for example, from nursery assistant to nursery manager. There are also opportunities to undertake further training or assessment.

This NVQ will help the learner to Increase their knowledge, understanding of and career progression within the Children’s care industry and enhance the social, emotional and intellectual development of children and young people.  It will help them to promote the welfare of children in a safe and secure environment
